Today, I’m braising ribs per this Alton Brown recipe, but I omitted and/or changed a few things. I’m not a big spicy foods fan- I like my ribs a bit sweet.
My ingredients were as follows:
Dry Rub:
- 8 tablespoons light brown sugar, tightly packed
- 3 tablespoons kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon rubbed thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Braising Liquid:
- 1 cup apple juice
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
I’ll follow the rest of the directions, though. I promise!
(These will be served with potato salad and some kind of bean.)

These are a few I’ve sent in. I just can’t control myself!
